As Promised

We have changes!

We’re now on a new URL, clutterchuckers.com (thanks to our friend Dave who suggested the name)

Soon, we will expand to listing items on other services such as Amazon, some craigslist ads, other auctions sites, etc. We’ll also be talking about a few efforts at offline offloading.

The goal is still the same, to list at least 1 thing everyday.

We’ll talk about other ways to ditch your junk, chuck your stuff, and clean your space.

If you want to follow us on twitter, we have a sparkling new account there too, @clutterchuckers (duh).

More soon, including some results and interesting things we’ve noticed and learned (embrace the re-list, quirky gets attention). We’ve been busy bees and I’m still catching up from my time out of town.

Pardon while I fix the images that got all unlinked *grr*

Day 30: If this doesn’t sell, I’m wearing it on Christmas Eve

white coatI’ve had this in my pile of clothes to eBay for awhile, but realized I should have listed it earlier to motivate some cool Christmas outfits. So an experimental 3 day auction listing just for kicks (well, and to facilitate pre-holiday arrival).

In fact, I got so inspired that if it doesn’t sell I’m wearing in on Christmas Eve myself. Then I’ll relist it after the holidays, post dry cleaning.

Even though I really do like this jacket, the truth is it’s been years since I wore this, and I didn’t wear it that much to begin with. Who knows, we may get one last holiday hurrah together. One last fuzzy yarn trim visit before bu-bye.

I always meant to add a hook and eye closure to make it stay closed and fit better but I never got around to it. Sorry, jacket.

I am La Lazy.

*Insert Terrible Transition*  …Tomorrow things start to move and shake around here, for anyone lurking. (I’m so busy I haven’t even gone to check our stats to see if anyone IS lurking and not saying hi *hint hint cough cough*)

But changes coming. A domain move. Le Sigh. All for the best though. We’ll get it all sorted out and we’ll get onto important things like results and analyzing and good stuff. Oh yeah, and more than just eBay!

Houston, we have expansion.

Over and out.

Day 29: Steel Drum, Kitten not included

steel drum and kittyOur 5 month old kitten Afi wanted some attention wanted to help model today’s auction. Who could say no to that fuzzy face?

Today’s auction comes from the plethora of percussion instruments we have that do more dust collecting than music making.
Today I went nutty and added more pics via HTML in the auction description area. Oh la la, fancy.

Day 28: Return of the Tea Pot

I have returned from my adventure, safe and sound. Not that anyone missed me, Andy kept things going quite well. Good job Bebe!

Immediately upon my return I was hounded when I would take the weight of the listing away from the busy Andy, so I threw this listing together tonight. I’m still getting back up to speed, so bear with me!

This tea pot set sat on a shelf in our dining room for a long time until I decided it would be a perfect eBay item. Super cute, but time to go.

Day 27: A National Treasure Discovered

Original Unopened 1985 Coca Cola Can – Last batch before change!

Canned under the authority of Coca-Cola Company,  Atlanta, Georgia by Coca-Cola
and bottled by Coca Cola Los Angeles, CA, this rare specimen of Coke history bears a few battle dents that only lend to its rustic charm.

On April 23, 1985, Coca-Cola, amid much publicity, attempted to change the formula of the drink with “New Coke”. Follow-up taste tests revealed that most consumers preferred the taste of New Coke to both Coke and Pepsi, but Coca-Cola management was unprepared for the public’s nostalgia for the old drink, leading to a backlash. The company gave in to protests and returned to a variation of the old formula, under the name Coca-Cola Classic on July 10, 1985. (1)

Own this piece of Coca-Cola history!

Day 26: Grog Find Zoom

Grog smash garage door. Grog reach in. Grog find Zoom Lens.

Grog Post on Ebay.

Buy from Grog or get smashed.

Grog’s expert in video projection says this baby allows you to throw the image of a Litepro 580 video projector way across your auditorium or cave to allow of proper viewing of video projected images.

Cavemen don’t need video projectors. They have fire.

Day 25: Tower of tunes

OK, let’s be honest. I didn’t have time to look in the garage, I worked all day long. I needed something quick, and these things were within arm’s reach. I just grabbed em and shot em. I don’t even think they are supposed to be on sale.

While we’re being honest, I have a little confession to make. Remember a few weeks ago when I “took over’ the blog because I said Kellee didn’t think I could do it?  The truth is, Kellee isn’t even here, she was kidnapped.

It’s ok, don’t get excited, I know the kidnappers and they aren’t asking a whole lot so I think I just need to auction one more item and I can get her back. With all good luck, Kellee should be back home this weekend and we can go back to selling sweaters and kitchen utensils.  Sorry I lied, but I didn’t want to alarm anyone.  Things should be back to normal next week.

Day 24: Command your post.

No, I’m not here to sell you more guns or talk Army.  This is a different kind of post, as in post production.

Yet another thing I bought thinking I would use and never got around to integrating it. I’m pretty sure I bought this for Visual Projection, as opposed to video editing,  but who knows? I was crazy back then.

I found this in the garage (of course) under a box of junk (of course).  This is not Junk. These suckers are selling for $100 on eBay.  As usual, mine is priced to sell.

Is anyone even reading this? I want comments!

Day 23: Time to Jam

Jam it out with this slick Sp-1 sustain pedal for your keyboard.

I bought it for my little keyboard I used for Visual Projections.  The fact it’s new in-box shows you how many gigs I’ve done since I got it.

Truth is, I haven’t had time to figure out how it integrates into my system. I don’t want to sell it, but I’ve been slammed and it was just the first thing out of the endless garage of junk I could grab. I’m in a hurry here!

Hopefully no one will buy it.

Wait.

Priorities.

Sigh.

Day 22: The Mother of all Camcorders

This is it, the Camera that started the Pro-sumer revolution.

Probably the most widely used camcorder that Canon ever made. Still used to this day by Production Companies, Federal Agencies, and NASA- this baby did it all-  onboard sound, interchangeable Lens systems, you name it. I don’t think Canon has made a better camera, relative to current technology,  since.  Slapping some good glass on the front of this and who cares if it’s Hi-8! It’s still better than broadcast at that resolution. You could shoot a tv commercial with it! (And people have).

Unfortunately, the tape transport on this is going out, so it needs to be services. The good news is, so many whackos had and still have this camera, you can actually get it repaired and re-serviced! Lenses are still bringing in big cash on eBay!

Buy this and free up some garage space for me. I beg you…
